10 Things--Copycat

Thanks to Karen, I'm going to make my own 10 things lists.

10 Things I did this week:
  1. Washed 7 loads of laundry
  2. Ate tons of Jicama, my new favorite snack
  3. Read "Don't Let the Pigeon Drive the Bus," 12 times
  4. Wished my youngest brother a happy birthday without actually knowing how old he's turning
  5. Donated money to a scholarship fund
  6. Watched "Grey's Anatomy"
  7. Finished Cleo's school paperwork
  8. Googled unsuccessfully an old friend
  9. Found perfect baskets for my kid's Halloween costumes
  10. Attended my first ever Back To School Night
10 Things I wanted to do this week but didn't:

  1. Put together Gigi's bed
  2. Cook a real meal
  3. Finish my book
  4. Organize my closet
  5. Write a thank-you note to one of Cleo's teachers
  6. Invite a potential friend to lunch (I'm afraid to overwhelm her with my kids)
  7. Dust
  8. Start my grandmother clock
  9. Start my submission for the family newsletter
  10. Purge my Christmas decorations
10 things that made me smile:

  1. Cleo telling me the kids at school would laugh at her Capri's
  2. My children trying on my cardigans and dancing around
  3. Talking with my sister about stupid stuff
  4. Gigi not even blinking when she got her immunization shots
  5. My dh admitting his pants are floods
  6. Remembering Loralee's hoof shaped scar
  7. Cleo praying that she can marry her best friend from a year ago
  8. My kids asking if we can have a dog/fish/cat/horse/monkey
  9. Telling them yes, but we have to talk their daddy into it
  10. Sneaking a maple bar donut to eat by myself

I am sorry, but the thought of JL admitting to floods just caused me to snort OJ up my nose.

There's nothing better than OJ at midnight--even if it is up your nose.

There are worse things than reading the pidgeon gook 12 times but I can't think of them right now!

Wow, I'm so glad to know that you don't know how old Jon is either. (I've been feeling guilty that I don't know, and didn't want to ask anyone.) We should find out. How old is Jason?

I'm a terrible sister.
