Me Going to Church

My dear four-year-old just finished this portrait of me. She kept checking on my various body parts so she could draw the right numbers of fingers and toes (evidently I have more than the average), and she was very careful to select the right color of shirt, comparing various purple markers to get just the shade she was looking for. I love my green mouth and carefully drawn eyebrows. Man, I feel so loved right now. It's like little bubbles of love floating all around me and all I have to do is reach out and pop one or two for a bit of instant happiness.

P.S. I had such fun color coordinating the color of word (like ear) to the color she drew it in. Posted by Picasa

Kids are so great at sending the love. I have several drawings of myself taped to my cupboards at the library. Although none so flattering and colorful as your portrait :D
